Destination Knowledge Partners with CENTEGIX and RhinoWare Lockdown System to Bring Safety Solutions to K-12 School Campuses

Being prepared for any situation is critical, which is why we’ve partnered with CENTEGIX and RhinoWare Lockdown System to bring schools the solutions necessary to create a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.

CENTEGIX and RhinoWare Lockdown System are two safety and security tools being implemented in districts across America, providing a more robust response to active threats of violence and protecting everyone on school campuses.

CENTEGIX’s CrisisAlert

Created by CENTEGIX, the CrisisAlert System is designed to give teachers, administrators and law enforcement an instant solution for getting help for medical emergencies, unauthorized visitors or campus disturbances and altercations, right at their fingertips. It’s a badge-based panic alarm that allows administrators and campus staff to immediately get help to handle any situation and get help anywhere on campus, or outside at recess. A touch of a button on the badge alerts administrators and first responders to your need for help. The system works even when cell phone service is interrupted or Wifi is down.

In addition to the badge, campuses are equipped with audio and visual alerts via colored strobe lights, desktop alerts, and intercom integration so, if need be, an entire school can go into immediate lockdown.

CENTEGIX’s CrisisAlert System complies with the requirements of Alyssa’s Law which requires public and charter schools to implement a mobile panic alert system that connects to emergency services to ensure real-time coordination between multiple first responder agencies. CENTEGIX not only fulfills these requirements, it is a FDOE-selected vendor.

RhinoWare Lockdown System

The RhinoWare Lockdown System, created by Campus Safety Products, attaches to any door and can be used to turn a classroom or other campus room into a safe room in the event of an active threat of violence. The Lockdown System is simple enough for a Kindergarten student to activate in one second with no training, yet secure enough to resist several tons of direct force. Once this system is activated, the door is locked down and provides a shelter-in place environment for children and staff.

RhinoWare carries wireless technology that alerts security personnel when a door is deployed. You will know when and where any door is deployed on the facility in seconds.

The system can be set up to alert administrators and first responders so that video surveillance can be activated for the room(s) and emergency response teams can be dispatched as applicable. Doors can only be released by campus administration and law enforcement with special keys.
